Heimat is founded in 1961 as Chor Part in Kyoto University Classical Music Association. As the name `Heimat' is a German word whose meaning is `home?', Heimat itself has good atmosphere.
Members of Heimat are the students or graduate students in Kyoto University and students of College of Medical Technology, Kyoto University. There are about 80 persons in Heimat.
Three concerts per year and so on are the main activity. Various songs or works are selected to play such as J.S. Bach, Haydon or Miyoshi. It is one feature of Heimat.
